SpaceXAI has joined the Omacom Foundation, the body that funds the Omarchy Linux distribution, as a Founding Corporate Patron. Its contribution is paid in usage, not cash: “$1.5 million in Grok tokens,” according to the Omarchy announcement published on 8 October 2026.

Where the tokens go

Omarchy says the tokens will go to “the agents and teams that build, review, and fix Omarchy.” The named use is Omabot, the project’s automated pull request reviewer. “Grok 4.7 and beyond will be helping power our automated agents, like Omabot,” the post says.

The project gives its own numbers for the review load: it is “closing in on 7,000 pull requests from more than 550 contributors.” The post says every Omarchy team will be able to draw on the tokens, listing bug hunting, themes and hardware ports as examples.

Where it sits in the foundation’s funding

The post places SpaceXAI alongside Meta Superintelligence Labs, DigitalOcean and Alibaba Cloud as Founding Corporate Patrons. With this pledge, Omarchy says total backing for the Omacom Foundation is “approximately $23.2 million.” The foundation’s site tracks that total as pledged support, not money spent.

Why it matters

Open-source projects with heavy contribution traffic are starting to treat model access as infrastructure, the way they once treated CI minutes or hosting. A token grant pays for review capacity directly: each automated review of an incoming pull request consumes model calls, and a busy repository can generate thousands of them.

Two points are worth keeping straight. The $1.5 million is a token allocation valued by the donor and the project, not a cash grant to spend freely. And the post describes plans, so the quality of Grok-backed review on Omarchy will show up in the repository’s pull requests over the coming weeks rather than in the announcement.
