Hark wide-released Hark Pro on October 6, 2026. It is a personal assistant on the web, iOS, and Android. The full feature set is free until a usage cap; paid tiers buy more usage. The computer-use agent is Handoff. Hark dates its first physical product to 2027. This release is the software.
TechCrunch’s Tim Fernholz reported the wide release from a company founded less than a year ago by Brett Adcock. Design lead Abidur Chowdhury, formerly at Apple, showed a full-screen home: chat, suggested actions, and mini-dashboards Hark calls panels, on a background tied to local weather and time. Hark’s product page puts the same app on browser, iOS, and Android, with memory, Projects, and Action Buttons.
Handoff, on Hark’s guide, is a cloud computer that signs in and acts on the web when a request needs a browser. The August Handoff preview said each task gets a virtual computer with its own browser, files, and terminal. Chowdhury told TechCrunch the agent shows that browsing in a small window. His comparison with other assistants, in the same interview: “It might not be faster than Muse, but it will give you a better result, and it will work end-to-end instead of asking you to take over at a point.”
Price
Hark’s Using Hark Pro page lists the ladder. Hark Pro² is 2× usage at $20 a month. Hark Pro³ is 10× usage at $100 a month. A saved card can auto-top-up credits up to a ceiling the user sets. TechCrunch said the service is free, with a subscription tier for heavy users, and did not print these prices.
Privacy, as pitched
Chowdhury to TechCrunch: “we’re not here to like sell you ads and steal your data.” Hark’s guide says it does not sell Hark data or share it with advertisers, and that cards and site logins sit in a vault called Secured by Hark, encrypted in storage and in transit. Hark says it cannot view that vault; the secret is detokenized on the page that needs it. The homepage also says “end-to-end encryption” and that no person has access. Hark says it checks before an action that needs approval.
This is a consumer product. Mail, calendar, and payments are what the assistant is built to take on. The vault and the no-ads line are Hark’s account of itself.
Hardware, and one leaderboard line
Hark’s guide: the first physical product arrives in 2027, and Hark Pro is the software foundation first. TechCrunch: the form is undisclosed. Chowdhury called wearable cameras a “creep factor” and said, “The first product that we’re building is a product that’s never ever existed before.”
In the Handoff preview, Hark wrote that the agent was “claiming the top spot on the Online-Mind2Web human evaluation leaderboard.” That ranking is Hark’s report. The post says its Online-Mind2Web figures are from the official board, except numbers it marks as OpenAI’s own or Browserbase’s. This desk did not open the live board.
People comparing consumer computer-use assistants can start on the free tier and read the $20 and $100 rungs before connecting a card. A Hark device is still a 2027 item.
