Cloudflare’s 1 October 2026 post opens a waitlist for fully managed Cloudflare OS. Cloudflare OS is an agent workspace for a company: it is supposed to know how the company works and to reach the company’s data. The managed offer is not generally available. You tell Cloudflare a custom domain, which Access policies apply, and which AI Gateway to use, and Cloudflare says it will run the deployment. The open-source repository, announced last month according to the post, is still how you deploy into your own account if you want to operate it yourself.
What the post says is new in the product
Two integrations are described as available now, separate from the managed waitlist.
GitHub: you can connect an existing repository. The agent can search and edit files, review its changes, commit, and push, and you can ask it to open a pull request. Cloudflare says that at the earlier launch, agents could write code for a new app but could not work inside an existing Git repository.
Google Workspace: a Gatekeeper Worker sits between Cloudflare OS and the external service. The post says the agent can read and research Gmail threads, create drafts, and send mail, and that you can connect an entire Drive, one folder, or a single doc or sheet. Exports from the built-in document, presentation, and spreadsheet tools now include Excel .xlsx, CSV, PDF, Markdown, and HTML. Word .docx and PowerPoint .pptx are “coming soon.” A tool the agent builds can add its own export, and the post’s example is an .ics calendar file.
Cloudflare says thousands of organizations have started using the open-source workspace since the previous announcement, for documents, slides, internal tools, and automation. That count is Cloudflare’s.
Practical takeaway
If you want Cloudflare to host the workspace, the 1 October step is a waitlist, not a switch you can flip in the dashboard today. If you already run the open-source deployment, the post’s concrete additions are the GitHub connection, broader Google Workspace access, and the export formats above, with Word and PowerPoint still ahead. Decide the Access policy and the AI Gateway before you ask to be managed, because those are the choices Cloudflare says you still make.
